1. Terms of participation
1.1. Age requirement
The minimum age requirement for participation in TransPeneda-Gerês (TPG) is 18 years age.
1.2. Registration regularized
To participate in the event, the athlete must have their registration previously regularized within the established deadlines and accept all the rules contained in these regulations.
1.3. Physical condition
It is essential to have the appropriate physical condition for the characteristics of this extremely difficult test, which simultaneously involves high mileage, a long period of time for completion, extremely mountainous terrain with high mountain characteristics and large differences in level, with technical trails. The terrain where the race takes place is subject to sudden weather changes, meaning athletes may be exposed to different meteorological situations such as: heat, cold, strong wind, dense fog and intense precipitation. It is essential that the athlete has the notion of self-management of effort, whether physical or mental, in the face of extreme adverse situations to which they may be exposed, without immediate help/rescue being possible. It is essential for the athlete to know how to act in the event of minor injuries, gastric discomfort, among other normal situations arising from mountain activities.
1.4. External help
Support for 115km athletes by elements outside the organization is permitted at any point on the route. Participants are advised to have some money with them so they can stock up on supplies in the cafes in the villages they will pass through. Still, it is important that the athlete is aware of their needs during the race, as well as their ability to solve problems in unexpected situations.
1.5. Race bibs
The number is personal and non-transferable. The athlete's bib must be in a location easily visible to members of the organization and other entities that support and/or collaborate with it. In case of withdrawal, the athlete must deliver the bib to the organization at the race secretariat, thus communicating their withdrawal
1.6. Sports conduct
Inappropriate behavior, offensive language, verbal aggression or any other type of aggression will be reported to the authorities whenever the act merits such action
2. The race
2.1. Presentation of the race/organization
TransPeneda-Gerês (TPG) - is an event under the organizational responsibility of Carlos Sá Nature Events®, which will take place on the 17th and 18th of May 2025, with the collaboration of the Municipalities of Terras de Bouro and Montalegre.
The Peneda-Gerês National Park will be the main stage for this fantastic Trail event, which will feature races of various distances: 25km, 37km, 60km and 115km.
TransPeneda-Gerês was created to hold the World Trail Championship in 2016, with an 85km version, running through the central part of the National Park. This time, the event has grown over the last few years, differentiating itself into events of various distances. In 2020, the competition took place over the mythical distance of 100 miles (around 165km), crossing the entire National Park. The launch edition of this mythical 165km distance, called edition 0, took place between the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of October 2020, and was a huge success, with 88 finishers in the non-stop version and 29 teams in the Relay version.
Carlos Sá Nature Events, together with the Municipalities of Terras de Bouro and Montalegre, continues to innovate and create conditions for unique events that have greatly contributed to the promotion of this territory

For each missing item, the athlete will be penalized with 15 minutes added to their final time
2.9. Information about passing places with road and rail traffic
The organization will have a security system throughout the route, however, given that it will be impossible to cut off road traffic at some points, participants must comply with traffic rules on public roads and must also respect the environment surrounding the route, being aware that it may cross private property, under penalty of having to assume potential damages and compensation resulting from non-compliance.
